Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how Kiwiconvert (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards personal information when providing conversion services. By accessing or using the Service, Users consent to the practices outlined below.
1. Information Collected
- Account Data: Users may register via Google OAuth (email only) or by email and password (again, only an email address is kept).
- Subscription Data: Kiwiconvert stores information regarding subscription status, plan details, and renewal schedules. Payment data remains exclusively with Paddle.
- Uploaded and Converted Images: The Service is designed so that images remain on the User's local browser storage (IndexedDB). Only RAW images require temporary server caching during processing, after which they are deleted. Kiwiconvert staff have no access to images at any time, including during and after conversion.
- Logs and Analytics: Minimal metadata (e.g., conversion timestamps, file formats) may be retained for troubleshooting or performance evaluation.
2. Use of Personal Information
- Service Provision: Emails and subscription data are used to provide relevant features, track usage, and authenticate accounts.
- Support and Assistance: Email addresses may be utilized for resolving technical issues or responding to inquiries.
- Analytics: Collected metadata is analyzed to improve Service reliability and functionality. This does not include any personal or image content.
3. Data Retention
Account information is retained as long as the account remains active. Should a User delete an account, all personal data is promptly removed. Aggregate or anonymized data (e.g., logs) may be kept for statistical purposes.
4. Data Sharing
Kiwiconvert does not sell personal information. Limited information may be shared with Paddle to facilitate subscription billing. Paddle operates under its own privacy policies, which should be consulted for further details.
5. Data Storage Technologies
The Service may employ various client-side storage technologies including but not limited to cookies, local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB. These technologies are used solely to maintain necessary application data and user preferences. They do not track browsing activity beyond Kiwiconvert. Users may configure browser settings to limit or block such storage mechanisms, though this may affect Service functionality.
6. Data Security
Industry-standard practices, including HTTPS encryption, are in place to protect personal data in transit. However, no method of online transmission is entirely secure, and Kiwiconvert cannot guarantee absolute protection.
7. International Transfers
Depending on the User's geographic location, data may be transferred outside of the local jurisdiction. By using the Service, Users acknowledge and agree to such international data transfers in compliance with applicable laws.
8. User Rights
Individuals have the right to access, modify, or request the deletion of their personal data. Users can delete their account directly through the service interface or by contacting support@kiwiconvert.com. Upon deletion of personal data (email address), the associated account will be permanently deleted as it cannot function without an email address. After account deletion, users can continue to use the free version of the service as a guest user.
9. Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy may be revised periodically to reflect changes in operational practices or regulatory requirements. Notice of significant updates will be provided via the Service interface.
10. Contact Information
Questions or concerns about privacy practices may be directed to legal@kiwiconvert.com.
